The investigation was carried out in mountainous desert of Afghanistan having difficult climatic conditions. To collect precise and accurate data, vehicles used by the Provincial Reconstruction Team situated in Ghor province (Afghanistan) were selected for the research. Their operation course, failures, and repairs can be tracked and captured more precisely than those of civilians as their data are recorded in data logs.
