This paper selects Landsat TM images, combined with the characteristics of desertification, and the use of Landsat TM images of each band, according to the theoretical basis of optimum index factor(OIF), select the band group of Landsat TM images by the correlation matrix and then select the optimal band combination by calculating the OIF, and finally through the test, select the band 743 combination for fake color images RGB bands.
