Hulun lake is as to center in Hulunbeier grassland, it is analysis of soil texture and organic matter by field sampling and laboratory experiments. It is clear the distribution of soil texture, soil particle content and the distribution of soil organic matter in the four major watershed area in Hulun region which are Hulun' surrounding watershed, Kelulun river basin, Wuerxun river basin and Wulanpao basin. It is analysis and comparison on soil characteristics in four basins. The results show that it dominates by sandy soil type and desertification soil is the most serious in Hulun's surrounding watershed; It is mainly loam class and the soil properties is better than other vally soil in Kelulun river basin; It is mainly loam calss,howerer, more human disturbance, grassland rate dwarf and fertility is poor in Wuerxun river basin. It is mainly sand class, fertilizer performance of soil is poor, the organic matter content is low in Wulanpao basin.
