To the inner arid region, the water resources is the most basic requirement factor of further development. With less total number and poor quality about water resource, the per capita consumption of water resources in Shihezi region is only 1/2 of which in Xinjiang. Contradiction of water supply - demand is intensified along with the social development. In this paper, we analyze the water supply - demand balance of Shihezi region. Countermeasures are provided against existing problems in order to ease the imbalance between supply demand, and then to achieve sustainable use of water resources for this region.
