The objectives of this study are to highlight problems on land degradation attributed to human activities in arid land. In Al-Dahar desert area in Kuwait, socio-economic activities were represented by a number of negative land uses which caused environmental degradation that damage the natural resources and micro land forms. According to the analysis, grazing and industrial area cover a total of 70 % of land. The eastern part of the study area showing the built up area (Al -Dahar residential area) extends to about 13.46% of the total land considered. Furthermore, slaughter house, water treatment plant, refused material covers 0.77, 3.88, and 1.11 % respectively. The road network and open places cover an area of 9.45% of the total land considered. However, the desert areas are highly degraded. As a result, developing a national action plan to control land degradation is strongly recommended. The principle of this action plan has been outlined in this study.
