In this article, the author briefly analyzes the construction origin and dismantlement process of the production dykes in the Yellow River floodplain, and the influence on the channel aggradation development, flood water carrying capacity, water works defense, floodplain desertification, and people's interest et al. due to the production dykes existence, and propose a conclusion that the production should not be constructed and especially enhanced.
