The formation of dew in the Gobi desert of Inner Mongolia is studied by using the energy budget method. It is found that condensation happened in both the grassland and dune area even within the very and Badain Jaran Shamo with highest megadunes of the world. The amount of condensation of about 10-15 tran per year in grasslands shows its importance as compared with the annual mean precipitation of about 50 mm in this area. A case study for the delta O-18 of leaf water of desert grass shows a mixing of dew water with the enriched vadose water but dew plays the main part.
