英文摘要

Strides made in various fields of science and technology in the last millennium is plagued by a host of omissions, miscalculations and mismanagement. In this precarious situation, afforestation still holds the key to tackle many of these evils, such as global warming, depletion of energy sources etc. In the present paper, an innovative solar green house based system is proposed for afforestation in and areas. The objective is to provide distillate directly to the roots as in the case of drip irrigation. The amount of distillate needed for afforestation is further optimized. The proposed system is validated by investigating volumetric water content of the soil and modeling by USEPA 'Ground Water Modeling System'. Finally the advantage and immense potential of afforesting deserts and and areas as a carbon sink is established.
