The fine-grained sediments in the basin of Dieprivier and Uitskot were accumulated in four phases in the period between approximatively 30.000 and 8.000 years b.d. Their deposition is attributed to reduced rainfall intensities in the catchment area of the local Aba-Huab affluent.

Relations between the accumulation and the global climatic change during O-stage 2 are uncertain. The results seem to correspond, however, to the climatic development in the Namib Desert during the past 30.000 years.
