英文摘要	For many years, the Desert Research Institute (DRI) has been interested and involved in smallscale renewable energy systems particularly in activities that integrate, monitor, control, and optimize the performance of systems consisting of multiple components. In 2007-2008, DRI undertook a planning study (with DOE funding) to define the steps necessary to develop a more formalized renewable energy center (REC) that would help grow DRIs capabilities and expertise in the areas of renewable energy research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D).
