中文摘要	对绿洲城市土地利用效益进行评价和研究有助于衡量绿洲城市土地利用水平,实现绿洲城市土地的高效协调利用。选取典型干旱区绿洲城市乌鲁木齐,利用多时相TM影像数据,对乌鲁木齐1990 - 2005年土地利用的基本特征进行分析,在此基础上采用综合指标评价法、灰色关联度和相关数学方法从土地利用的经济、社会和生态效益三方面对1990 - 2008年乌鲁木齐土地利用效益的变化及其特征进行了研究,结果表明:研究区土地利用变化的经济和社会效益显著,城镇用地变化的效益明显大于农村用地,土地利用变化带来的社会效益主要使城镇居民受益；受技术条件和认识水平的限制,在取得经济和社会效益的同时也导致了环境破坏与污染,土地利用变化的环境效益是外部不经济的。
英文摘要	Evaluation of land use efficiency is the indicator of land use sustainability.There is an increasing awareness throughout the developing world of the importance of improving the efficiency of urban land use.It is necessary to pursue opportunities for greater efficiency in arid area.The evaluation and study of oasis urban land use efficiency can help with measuring the level of urban land use and realize the high-efficiency of oasis urban land use.The article takes Urumqi,a typical arid oasis city,as an example,analyzing the basic characteristics of Urmuqi’s land use in 1990 -2005 according to the multi-temporal TM image data.on the base of these analyses,the change and characteristics of Urmuqi’s land use efficiency were studied by using integrated index evaluation method,grey related degree and relevant mathematical means.The weight of each index used in the paper was given according to the theory of information entropy.The results show that in the studying area,the economic and social benefits of land use changes are significant,and the benefits of urban land use change are more significant than that of rural areas.Social benefits of land use change are mainly benefited to urban residents.In the same time,restricted by the technical conditions and knowledge,the land use changes have caused environmental disruption and pollution while making economic and social benefits.The environmental benefit of land use changes is external uneconomical.The evaluation system for land use multiple efficiencies was established from the aspects of society,economy,ecology,and environment.And among that the benefits of economy,environment and society are suitable.Based on the analysis of this paper,we can draw a conclusion that land use efficiency is becoming increasingly scarce,so it is clearly important to find ways of economizing on land where possible,especially if this can be done without reducing the quality of the urban environment.This research has indicated that there is much scope for improving the efficiency of land use in Urumqi.
