中文摘要	2006年8月和12月,在新疆车尔臣河下游阿克塔孜牧场,对塔里木马鹿夏季和冬季生境的选择进行了研究.选择5类生态因子,并设置290个10 m*10 m样方.选择结果表明,塔里木马鹿喜欢胡杨和芦苇、植被覆盖度较大、水源距离较近和认为干扰距离>1 000 m的环境.其中,夏季多选择芦苇草甸,冬季选择胡杨林和柽柳灌丛.对生境特征的主成分分析显示,前3个主成分的累计贡献率夏季达到71.277%,冬季达到67.925%,可以反映塔里木马鹿的生境特征.同时表明,影响塔里木马鹿生境选择的主要因素依次为人为干扰、植被类型和距水源距离.
英文摘要	Cervus elaphus yarkandensis,which is listed as a category II protected animal in China,is unique among deer in that it inhabits a desert environment.Wild Cervus elaphus yarkandensis only inhabit narrow zones in the middle and lower reaches of the Tarim River and the lower reaches of the Qarqan River.However,the population of wild Cervus elaphus yarkandensis has decreased significantly due to human activities in the area.Because of its limited habitat and small population,Cervus elaphus yarkandensis has been listed in the Red List of the International Union of Conservation Nature and Natural Resources(IUCN) as an endangered species.In addition,this species has been placed on the endangered species list of the United States of America.Currently,most habitats of Cervus elaphus yarkandensis are affected by human activities,and the future of wild populations of this species is in jeopardy.However,the population density,habitat utilization and suitability of Cervus elaphus yarkandensis are still not thoroughly understood.In this study,the habitat selection of Cervus elaphus yarkandensis was studied in Aktaz Pasture,which is located at the lower reaches of Qarqan River in Xinjiang,China,from August to December 2006.Five habitat factors were measured in 290 10 m*10 m plots.The indexes of habitat selection revealed that Cervus elaphus yarkandensis prefers habitats with plant communities that contain Populus euphratica and Phragmites communis,high vegetation coverage,abundant food,a short distance from water sources,and long distance from areas that have been disturbed by human activity(>1 000 m).Cervus elaphus yarkandensis prefers to eat Phragmites communis in summer but Populus euphratica in winter.The results of principal component analysis show that human disturbance,vegetation type and distance from water sources are the primary factors that affect habitat selection by Cervus elaphus yarkandensis.
