中文摘要植被覆盖变化研究在土地利用/覆盖变化研究中占据着的重要内容。北方13省气候的地域差异性和过渡性明显,植被类型多样,是我国境内对全球变化反应较为敏感的生态系统地带。研究该地区植被变化特征及其与气候因子的响应关系有助于深入理解这一地区土地利用/覆盖变化总体特征以及对区域及全球气候和环境变化的影响。本文基于NOAA/AVHRRNDVI数据,气候和土地覆盖数据对北方13省地区1982年~1999年植被动态变化及其与气候因子的关系进行了分析。结果表明18年间研完区植被总体呈现增加趋势,植被平均NDVI生长季增加了11.69%。春、秋两季植被增加趋势最为明显。植被变化与气温相关性显著而与降水无显著相关,气温升高引起的生长期提前和生长季延长是植被增加的一个重要原因;人类活动等非气候因子是影响植被变化的另一个重要原因,人类一方面通过合理有效的措施改善植被状况,另一方面不合理的活动又导致部分地区植被严重退化;研究区植被像元的NDVI有18.24%的面积显著增加,0.24%显著减少,其中耕地、草甸、草原和落叶阔叶林四种植被类型植被变化最为显著。
英文摘要Vegetation plays an important role in land use/cover change. The 13 provinces with obvious climate transition and regional difference in northern China span from moist to semi-moist to semi-arid zone and arid zone. In these regions, vegetation cover types are various, and the eco-environment is relatively fragile. Therefore, it is very important to study the features of vegetation cover and the intensity vegetation cover change as well as correlation with climatic factors influencing vegetation cover. In this paper, NOAA/AVHRR NDVI dataset is combined with climatic dataset and land cover data to analyze vegetation cover changes and the correlation with climate variability in the study area during the periods of 1982 ~ 1999. The results showed that vegetation cover at growing seasons increased 11.69% during the 18-year period, which is broadly consistent with the greening trend showed in the northern high latitudes in Eurasia and North America in previous studies. The greening pattern in spring and autumn is prevalent. Generally there is a significant correlation between vegetation cover change and temperature over the 18- year period. There is no significant correlation between vegetation cover change and precipitation in the same period. The changes of most of vegetation types in growing season, spring and autumn are strongly correlated with temperatures. Therefore, temperature is considered as the leading factor driving vegetation cover change. There are about O. 24 % of vegetation pixels showing a significant downward trend and about 18.24% of vegetation pixels showing a significant upward trend in NDVI. Only 10.44% pixels are correlated with temperatures, and 1.15 % with precipitation. Of all vegetation types, cropland, meadow, grassland and deciduous broadleaf forest feature remarkable change. Thus, observed changes in vegetation cover result from the combined effects of land management and climate. Land management and climate change may interact in their joint effects on productivity, and these effects can vary substantially among vegetation types. Human activities of land management such as applying chemical fertilizers, irrigation, pest control, high-yield crop varieties, afforestation and grassland protection et al., probably made a greater contribution to the vegetation cover change than temperature did. Apart from the above results, there is a set of data uncertainties that requires consideration. Residual noise remaining in the Version 3 Pathfinder NDVI dataset will introduce uncertainties in the magnitudes of NDVI trends. Thus, the emphasis has been given to the general trends of NDVI rather than the magnitudes. In addition, this study does not fully consider changes in land cover and land use over the study period. Trends in NDVI that resulted from such changes cannot be fully separated from the trends due to climatic drivers. So, it is suggested that these problems should be resolved in the future research.
