中文摘要	湖泊是人类宝贵的自然资源,沙漠湖泊则更为宝贵,它对于维持沙漠生态环境,防止沙漠扩展具有重要作用.内蒙古的沙漠和沙地中分布有大量湖泊,形成了沙漠中独特的自然景观.本文在对内蒙古沙漠湖泊的特征进行论述的基础上,分析了沙漠湖泊所具有的生态功能和在防止沙漠扩展中的作用,希望能引起社会各界对沙漠湖泊的研究和保护给予更多的重视.
英文摘要	Lakes are precious natural resources for human beings. Lakes in desert areas are more precious due to their roles in maintaining desert land ecosystem and preventing sand dune from expending. There are a large number of lakes distributed in the desert and-sandy land areas in inner Mongolia. They form the special landscape views in the arid regions. Based on the description and characterization of the lakes in Inner Mongolia, the ecological functions of the lakes were analyzed and their roles in preventing land desertifieation were discussed. Measures for lakes protection in the desert areas were also proposed.
