英文摘要	Gambian rats are found in central Africa, in regions south of the Sahara desert as far south as Zululand. Herein, we describe the first rat assembly mtDNA in Cricetomys genera, which contains 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), two rRNA genes (12S rRNA and 16S rRNA), 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and a control region (D-loop). The complete mitochondrial genome sequence provided here would be useful for further understanding the evolution of Cricetomys and conservation genetics of Cricetomys gambianus.
