英文摘要 | The factorial experiment was set up in a randomized complete block design as a split-plot arrangement with three replications. Irrigation as main-plot consisted of four levels: stopping of irrigation after 60, 75, and 90 days from planting, and full irrigation. The sub-plot encompassed three sunflower genotypes (Barolo RO, Velko, and Local) used under a semiarid condition in Sulaimani, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Velko genotype under full irrigation produced the highest seed yield of 5716.685, and 5190.545 kg ha(-1) at Kanipanka and Qlyasan locations respectively. Overall, 60 days of irrigation, and full irrigation showed the highest and lowest WUE or IWUE, respectively. All the genotypes offered a crop response factor of less than one at both locations indicating that the grown crop is more tolerant to water deficit, and recovers partially from stress. The result of this study concluded that the Barolo RO genotype has the highest performance under deficit irrigation. Therefore, this genotype is the most proper one for the study area as a part of drought-prone environments. Furthermore, the results obtained from this study indicated that the early stage of growth was more effective to increase the seed yield of sunflowers than irrigation in the middle and later stages. |
