英文摘要 | During the spring-summer 2013 cycle, the effect of nitrogen (N) at 0, 50 and 100kg.ha(-1) on the evaporation, evapotranspiration, water use efficiency and seed yield, fiber and biomass, as well as pepo length, of two variants of loofah (Luffa cylindrica L) was evaluated in the Oaxacan Glen, Mexico. A test with a completly randomized block design was carried out, using as treatments three levels of N with three repetitions. The relevance of the study lies in finding materials that have applications in oil extraction or fiber utilization that are adapted, as is the loofah, to the arid conditions of the area. Results indicated that the application of 50 and 100kg.ha(-1) of N generated a higher seed yield, number of holes per square centimeter and of pepo length. Treatment with 100kg.ha(-1) of N increased the amount of biomass, fiber yield and water use efficiency for seed, fiber and biomass. Evaporation was adjusted to a quadratic model, whereas evapotranspiration was adjusted to a linear model. Nitrogen positively affected the loofah crop. |
