中文摘要 | 水资源足迹是真实反映人类对水资源消费利用的新概念,能深刻揭示社会经济系统对水资源的真实消费,水资源足迹核算为水资源科学管理提供了一个新视角.文章提出了水资源足迹的概念和计算方法,以甘肃省为例,运用产品虚拟水研究方法核算并分析了2000年的虚拟水消费和水资源足迹.结果表明,2000年甘肃省全社会的水资源足迹为221.231*108m3,人均水足迹为865.24m3/人·年和2 371L/人·天,大大高于统计的水资源利用量;虚拟水计算基础上的水资源足迹衡量不仅深刻刻画了人类对水资源的真实占用情况,同时对我国干旱区水资源管理具有重要的战略启示:提高水资源利用效率、改善人类消费结构及消费模式和虚拟水进口. |
英文摘要 | Understanding the water resource cycle in a socio-economic system is an especially important problem in arid regions. Increasing shortage of water resources is an uncontroversial fact with population growth and economic development in Gansu province of China. How to alleviate the pressure of water resource is a major issue faced by decision-makers. In this paper, Gansu province is presented as a case study area to investigate the new concept of water footprint, its application and implication in social-economic system. Firstly, the concept of water footprint and its calculation methodologies are introduced in the paper. Water footprint is a new concept reflecting people’s real consumption and usage of water resource in social-economic system, and is the cumulative virtual water content of goods and services consumed by a defined human population or economy. Therefore, quantification of the virtual water volumes of crop and livelihood are presented in details in the paper. Secondly, the paper quantified and analyzed the water footprint of Gansu Province in 2000. According to the assessment, citizens in Gansu province have consumed 189.0335 X 108m3 of water resource in total in 2000, which equivalent to 1 054.49m3/yr per capita and 2 889L/day per capita. The actual consumption amount of water resource is approximately 2.2 times of the amount of statistical consumed volume. "We also simply discussed the advantage and disadvantage of the calculation method. The water footprint based on the virtual water not only reflects human beings’ actual water appropriation, it is also of great importance for water management in arid zones of the northwestern China. The transferable water in social-economic system in a virtual form has been highlighted, which broadens the options of decision-makers . Based on our analysis, some suggestions have been put forward on how to alleviate the press of water shortage in arid regions. |
