中文摘要	荒漠化是指气候变异和人类活动在内的种种因素造成的干旱、半干旱和亚湿润干旱地区的土地退化,是全球性的重大环境问题,我国是世界上受荒漠化危害最为严重的国家之一,吉林省西部地区便深受其害.该文在详细分析吉林省西部荒漠化现状、特征和成因的基础上,揭示了荒漠化防治在该区实施可持续发展战略中的作用与意义,提出防治措施对策,并建议为了保证实现可持续发展,该区应尽快开展的荒漠化防治工程建设.
英文摘要	Desertification is soil degradation in arid and semi-arid regions for many factors that include weather and human activities. Desertification is an important environmental problem in global range. China is one of the countries that suffer heavily from desertification. West region in Jilin Province is one representative region. Based on the analysis of actuality, characteristics and causes of desertification in west regions in Jilin Province, the effect and significance of prevention and control of desertification in sustainable development,and suggestions are put forward such as putting some projects in practice at once.
