中文摘要	20世纪50年代初黄羊曾广泛分布在我国东部草原和西部荒漠草原地区，而由20世纪90年代末的全国动物普查结果可知：目前黄羊主要分布在内蒙古呼伦贝尔盟、锡林郭勒盟、乌兰案布盟的部分地区，且多集中分布在边境一带，很少向境内纵深移动。在吉林、甘肃、宁夏有少量分布。20世纪50年代初我国黄羊的数量估计有50万～60万只，以后不断减少。因黄羊在中蒙两国之间进行的迁徙受阻、草场退化、偷猎等原因，至20世纪末全国黄羊仅有8 000余只，亟待加强保护与研究。
英文摘要	At the early 1950’ s, Mongolian gazelle (Procapra guUurosa) was once distributed in the eastern grassland and western desert grassland of China. At present, the distribution range of Mongolian gazelle is Hulunbeier grassland, Xilinguole and some area of Wulanchabu in Mongolia, and mainly concentrate on the frontier. In the hinterland, people seldom find Mongolian gazelle. In Jilin, Gansu and Ningxia, there are only a few of Mongolian gazelle. At the early 1950’ s, the population size in China was about 500 000 ~ 600 000, and since then it showed a declining trend. As the result of the grassland decaying, illegally hunting and moving blockade between Mongolia and China, at the end of twentieth century there are only 8 000 Mongolian gazelle in China. It is an urgent problem to improve the protection and research.
