英文摘要	The authors observed omphalitis, consequential yolk degeneration and autointoxication in a neonate, 18.5 cm long, 10.2 g desert sand boa (Eryx miliaris), caused by Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. The suspected route of infection was the inappropriate and too moist substrate and the not closed navel of the newly hatched boa through which the bacteria could enter the body cavity.
