英文摘要 | In unsuitable planting method, competition between seedlings in canopy has influence on yield and yield components. In order to determine yield and yield components of corn cultivars on the basis of different planting methods under semi arid condition of Iran, an experiment was done in 2010, at Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic Azad University, Khorasgan Branch (Esfahan), Iran. A factorial layout within randomized complete block design with three replications was used. Cultivars were SC 704, SC 500, SC 647, SC 633 and SC 677, and planting patterns included single and hill planting. Leaf, ear and total dry weights, a thousand seed weight, seed yield, harvest index, ear length and ear diameter were significantly affected by cultivar. Planting method had significant influence on all experimental characteristics. Planting method and cultivar just had significant effect on leaf, stem, ear and total dry weights, seed yield, harvest index and ear length. The maximum leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, ear dry weight, tassel dry weight, total dry weight, a thousand seed weight, seed yield, ear length and car diameter at both anthesis and physiological stages were obtained in single planting. The highest plant height, leaf, stem and total dry weights, seed yield, ear length and ear diameter were related to SC 704. SC 677 also gave appropriate seed yield and yield components. On the basis of the results, SC 704 in single planting was appropriate for plantation under semi arid region of Iran. |
