In the following article, we shall discuss a problem that is, today, on everyone’s lips: the ecological crisis, or, in other words, the worrying picture of the earth’s state of health. Nature is becoming more and more hostile towards man, through phenomena that are unlike any we are used to, true natural Juries that yield flooding, acid rains, desertification, the drying up of water sources, etc. How, when, and why has mankind reached this dramatic dimension of ecological imbalance and loss? These are questions everyone is trying to answer, and, more importantly, solve: green diplomacy (ecological diplomacy). It is a new kind of international cooperation, a form of classic diplomacy that has been adapted to the specific traits and to the universal nature of ecological problems, especially since the second half of the 20(th) century A diplomacy which ultimately targets the harmonization of the interests of one state or another with the interests of all living things, as far as the protection, conservation and sustainable development of natural living conditions are concerned.
