英文摘要	The litter composition and reserves are compared in forest plantations and natural Spiraea groves growing on meadow-chestnut soils in the clay semidesert. Some parameters (ash content, C : N, and pH) that characterize the degree of the plant material decomposition in different litter layers were determined. The correlation between the properties of the AO horizon and the trophic structure of the soil mesofauna is established. The influence of the litter quality on the structure and pH of the upper 0- to 10-cm horizon of the soils is considered.
