Baja California Sur is an arid state in northwest Mexico. Suitable habitats for macrofungi are restricted to an isolated mountainous region in the extreme south where these kinds of organisms seem to be as diverse as those in similar communities in the woodlands of mainland Mexico. Only a few taxa could be found in the widespread desert environment of the lowlands. This study adds 63 taxa to the previous macromycete listings of Baja California Sur.
