英文摘要 | To properly utilize and manage exploitation of groundwater, application of recent methods is very much crucial to prepare an organized arrangement for protecting this valuable but dwindling natural resource. Groundwater potential was scrutinized by applying neural network models namely back-propagation neural network (BPNN) and Radial basis function network (RBFN) in Balangir watershed, India. The groundwater fluctuation is powerfully associated to hydrological elements, and therefore this relation allows groundwater potential mapping from hydrological elements by help of BPNN and RBFN model to simulate groundwater fluctuations. Also, multiple linear regressions (MLR) are used for observing the relationship amid reliant variable, i.e., depth of water table and free variable, i.e., the hydrogeological factors considered in this study. Three different types of transfer function tan-sig, log-sig are applied for comparing outcomes of the models for predicting fluctuation of groundwater. Results of present study show the supremacy of BPNN model than RBFN model for predicting groundwater potential. |
